Five News 2005 - 2008 Set Mock

Hi there guys,

I have been a member of TV Forum for a while now, I just "treat" it like a forum, here for the chat and to share my thoughts, but I am mostly interested in The Gallery. I do create mocks, some are not the best, hence why I have waited until now to post my Five News mock. I think the Five News set that was used from 2005 to 2008 was brilliant, but when Natasha Kaplinsky took over and it all changed, I missed the orange and purple set. So, I have decided to have a go at what I think should have replaced that original set, and it is basically a recreation, just dropping the mezzanaine level and "tidying it up" a little. So, here goes:

OK. But news studios arent meant to be interesting really, are they? Anyhow, what do you suggest I do to improve it?

It's a recreation, but I have removed elements, like the mezzanine level and some other areas have been tweaked. What do you think?

In which case it gets 1/5. I just looked up some photos of the studio from that time and this looks nothing like it, even taking into account the changes to the mezzanine. For starters, the studio is about 4 times bigger.

If you'd said it was a mock, I'd have given you 2/5. It's still a poor layout and it fails aesthetically and it looks rubbish, but the ideas could work with time & effort.

1/5 - Truly Dreadful.

Seeing as how most new members dont bother to read other threads in this gallery to see what other users have done in the past, and what advice was given... this is the new benchmark for all those wanting to create 5* studio mocks.

Rendering would be a start, but after that if you cant work out for yourself what you need to do to improve it then there is no hope for you.

OK. I appriciate your honest comments. This mock will not be getting updated, and my planned C4 News set will not either.
