Render using the Render Queue which in my case exports as a mov file. Then use an online converter to get it in MP4 format.

Knew someone would have the answer. Thanks Owen Very Happy Thumbs up

Use Handbrake for conversion. The original MOV files can be in excess of 35gb (not very compressed) for a 1 minute sequence.

Adobe Media Encoder should come bundled in though...

What format do you use to put your work onto YouTube?.

YouTube has documented some recommended encoded formats for uploading content.

The Render Encoder does support changing up output format from the templates provided. You will need to change them if you want to match the YouTube specs, but be prepared for a loss of quality upon Render.

Use Handbrake for conversion. The original MOV files can be in excess of 35gb (not very compressed) for a 1 minute sequence.

This sounds like a good option, as it will allow you to have a High Quality original format from the outset. Just ensure you have enough spare Hard Disk space when doing so.

Post a print screen would help.

Might be your GPU simply isn’t powerful enough.

I want to create the BBC Breakfast 2012 globe. I’ve always preferred it to the 2009 globe. and I want to do this all my myself, no folder, no template. and definitely not rushed. can I have a step my step guide to write down?

I know it seems like a big task for someone who is new to after effects. But I wanna try!!!!

Ballboy - I really doubt anyone is going to spoon feed you with precisely how to do it. I'd suggest re-reading the advice already given to you in this thread, and then going away and having a play.

Ballyboy, the ambition is great and the last thing I want to do is knock any of that drive out of you because it's a wonderful thing to have a goal and work towards it.

However, I'd really suggest starting slow. The young lad a week into his new job working as a labourer on a building site isn't going to be able to knock up the Sistine Chapel next week.

You won't know what you're doing at first and that's the fun of learning a new skill.

If people give you step-by-step instructions and/or ready-made templates, you're not actually learning anything or developing your skills whatsoever.

Have a go yourself. Make something utterly abysmal because you haven't got a clue what you're doing and then see if you can make it better.

Take things slowly, accept that it'll take some legwork to improve, don't expect it to just fall into your lap, and, most of all, have fun experimenting!
Guess who's big in the back time!

I didn’t mean to use ready made templates I just was super duper stuck. That’s the plan. Day by day taking my time for as long as it takes. I know I said that before but I’m serious I’m gotta learn moving the place names round the null object and how the connect layers come into that. and I have the master the rings. i know it’s a glitterball globe. I have to figure out to make it zoom out to reveal the globe. basically figuring it all the tools by myself. I have all your really helpful advice jotted down. might watch tutorials in case I’m stuck

I haven’t seen anyone recreate this globe before. so I want to be the first

I feel the 2012 could be a bit simpler than the 2009 globe

it will be finished WHEN it’s finished!!!

wish me luck

Half of what you’re talking about is one project file posted online.

Make your own rings.
Make your own globe.

It’s not rocket science, in fact Bail posted a globe earlier on...

Via Youtube. There's plenty of tutorials on how to use After Effects on there.
Have you washed your hands?
