Daybreak (Recreation / Mock)

I quite like the Daybreak graphics, however, I'm not entirely convinced by the purple for that time in the morning, I think it's too cold and dull. This prompted me to create these, they're pretty much exactly the same as the current graphics but with a different colour scheme.

I think this colour scheme is more warm and welcoming for a breakfast programme, please tell me what you think.

Nice, Its very BBC Breakfast 2006. I think it would be better with a solid colour for the logo though as the graphics were designed to be simple.

It's not much of a mock, you've just recoloured the logo background. I see the idea getting but it is very BBC Breakfast to me, and I think Daybreak should be trying to be different to its competitors.

I like it a lot. It would be good as a seasonal variation to the Daybreak set of graphics - perhaps a more summery theme??

Looks nice but I get why people are saying it looks like BBC Breakfast, but still mint!

I think an orange or a sky blue would do nicely.

I agree the purple seems a little cold. To be honest I think the Daybreak theme tune is poor as well - it seems too relaxed for a breakfast type programme.

I like these although the Breakfast and the Iceland (hate to say it - sorry!!!) comments are unfortunately valid!
Could you try like a warm yellow instead?

Thanks for everyones comments, I tried to take note of them all and I came up with this. I know where you're coming from with the 'Iceland' look I've changed the orange logo to yellow, altered the graphics slightly and added a ticker.

Please tell me what you think, an improvement... or not?

I rather like the updated mock with the ticker and the Name aston on the same level as the clock/ DOG, not like the current steps Daybreak use

I like the improvements to the astons as well (I agree about the steps style, a bit disjointed), not too sure about the logo colour, a bit too light on the orange front.
