Daybreak - New look for new studio UPDATED: Lorraine

With a relaunch up coming in September I thought I'd make some graphics for the new look

And the coming up graphic for TOTH/before breaks...

Constructive feedback is welcomed

I don't really see how these are an improvement over the present graphics. It's not polished, and cheapens them instead. Also for the backgrounds its better to use a dark-ish grey instead of green.

Looks a little cheap Imo, what they got now looks better, and are they really having a new studio?

The Video'd version

The yellow bar between the logo, clock and ticker, and the straps is too big for a start. Also, a green background? On top of that, I think the LIVE strap and 'Coming up' time are, in the images at least, far too big.

The graphics are not centred in the video, too high up, and too close to the left 4:3 safe-area.

New Graphics!

It's still a bit bland, isn't it? It still isn't in the centre, more to the right. Also, the 'LIVE' on the 'LIVE' strap is far too big. It should be similar to the size of the 'Daybreak' logo. The clock, weather and ticker are all awful shades of grey, A) because it's bland, dull and lifeless, and B) because they're so similar, they could well melt into each other.

Also, the animations for the name strap on and off the screen are different - maybe they should be the same. And, maybe, the yellow bar that goes with the name strap could appear first, rather than wiping onto the screen with the Strap? And, overall, it's just a load of 'Wipe' transitions.

It's okay, but not great.

Sorry for the white space on the bottom of the video!

According to youy mocks in the first post, the aston and ticker are meant to go right to the edge of the of the screen, so why do they start in between in the 4:3 and 16:9 frame?
