With the window problem with the windows in the winter I decided to create a mock for Daybreak using Studio 3.
Here is the sofa area (The only area I have so far)

The Backdrop would be a barco screen to place a live time view

Edit: Sorry about the dark backdrop

Whilst this set you've created is far from original and rather standard procedure for breakfast tv, (It reminds me somewhat of the channel 7 Sunrise studio, with the shelving) this could work. The barco screen works well for Andrew Marr, so I think its achievable with Daybreak!

I do like the general idea of this mock.

Things I'd point out are:

The colours. It's all a bit washed out using the same wood texture for almost all of the set and then having a sofa in a similar colour.

The news desk. Could have a much more interesting desk than a white box I reckon. Also, I think it would be a good idea to have the screen at the side instead of behind the presenter.

I've change the color of the wood a bit, I'm not sure if it works, it seems a bit to dark

I think having a light London, when it's clearly dark outside would confuse the audience even further than the current situation.

The background a barco screen with a live view of london, it is dark in the mock as I don't have any other panorama's that fit the hight of walls

You might want to tell GMTV that...

I tried it seems no one is answering the phone.

The difference is the GMTV back drop never looked really.

Tvworld said that it would be a live stream, so why would it be light when it's dark outside?

I look at this, I like the idea of the set being taken away from the view, but then wonder if it's going to be a live stream of London anyway, wouldn't it make more sense to build a new set inside the current studio, creating a this morning feel with real windows, but a bright set detracting from the dark surroundings.

For me the problem with daybreak having the dark winter view was that other that a few led panels, there is no set yo detract from the outside.

it all looks a bit to GMTV for me
