Hey!

Well I must admit, even if the changes were only going to be minor to the graphics on Daybreak, I was still a bit diappointed that they didn't do, a bit more maybe....

I've made one mock already for Daybreak but never got down to finishing it. It's all a bit too different.

I'm making a new mock now, based on the new 'panels' look they use. I will put up updates as they come but I'm going to leave you with a teaser...

You may have noticed now that the logo is a navy blue and I've used a more generic background - no scenery, just that same shapey background I've been using since my GMTV mock back in '09!

Think GMTV with the graphics.

Logo leaves me cold.

I've not seen a single Daybreak mock that has been anything other than Insipid. Which in itself is no surprise since the insipidity began with the actual Daybreak graphics and the programme itself.

Thanks for your comments, both.

AxG, what colour do you think would best suit the Daybreak logo? I've used blue/yellow for the background, so they're the colours I was looking at using.

SomeRandomStuff, Sorry to hear you don't like it. If you don't like the current look, then I don't think this 'mock' is for you. It's more of a 'what they could've done' than a whole new look. Thanks anyway Smile

Point taken for the last bit, but Lee Seaman, a TV Forum veteran, created these brilliant graphics a while back.

Okay these are pretty good, and very well executed, i probably missed these when i had Daybreak fatigue.

I've just looked on youtube, and turns out I already have him subscribed, I think some of his other work is far superior, but these astons outstrip anything else i've seen for Daybreak.

Reminds me of a bland powerpoint background. I like the panel effect though. Maybe apply it to a different background?

Hey all! You may have noticed I've not uploaded my graphic mock for Daybreak - main reason being that they're similar to Lee's that were posted on YouTube, which I didn't see before I made them, and not as good as Lee's as he's a pro in all of this. Anyway, I've been focusing on the set design, and it's almost finished. I'm going to try and animate it and will upload some pics and snaps as and when they are ready!

Thanks

Nobody cares that its 'almost finished'...

Here's a few snaps of the studio. This is a bit of a re creation. The main changes are that the high floor is out, and the sofa is now on floor level, and instead of a huge clock, there is a colour changing screen (like what they have in front of the windows, but bigger).
