The Finance and News captions really are cheap edits of those on 7's Sunrise! Someone call the imagination Police! Also something else I don't think helps is the two different fonts - The Daybreak font and Harabara. They both look similar, but you can notice the difference when they're so close which doesn't help.

Don't get me wrong! I'm not making excuses, but I suppose factors like these don't really help. Although, it doesn't really matter, ITV are known for their inconsistancy in their design...

The background, once again, the idea of 7's Sunrise. The dark blue is a bit too dark, and the orange a bit too orange. Don't really go well, so I'll look into that sometime! (But it does make a nice background on your desktop )

Thanks again for the comments. I'll take them all into account and develop the ideas - in the meantime, anyone here work for Daybreak? Got a job for a 17yr old designer or whatever? I'm putting together a little running order too... You wouldn't think I'm doing A Levels, would you?

Maybe polish the coverflow 5-a-day thing. Also, try make it glassy like hero panels, they look too static at the moment.

CALM DOWN jdav! Corr blimey! Kudos for you NOTICING that Daybreak isn't GMTV. I'm sure that we here, on a forum that is ALL TO DO WITH TV, know that Daybreak isn't GMTV. I, for one, never said it was. If you want me to explain what I meant in those 4 words, I will.

This is a Daybreak mock, but one has used a style that is similar to what GMTV had, with the curved straps 'nd stuff.

Thanks for the advice, Mike! Annoyingly, it rendered in the wrong res (well, I say IT rendered, I mean I used the wrong settings... but y'know). I've had a play around with it again and sorted out the flip sequence (doesn't look as messy). Going to try and put some video on there too in the flip, but I don't really want to re-create it because, well, I don't fancy re doing the whole sequence. I'll try and get it up (ahem, the video) a bit later on tonight
