Daybreak, but very GMTV!

Really like this! I think that if you used the 2006 TOTH tune, that would add to the whole newsy feel!
The logo is nice with the sunrise element and I think it's the orange that most pays homage to GMTV! A few more colours would be nice but apart from that, its pretty darn good!

And keep these Daybreak mocks coming! I think that we will have to declare a winner come september - the mock most similar to the official new look! Wink

This one just done by me testing out what I can do with Sony Vegas! Well I'm glad you like. The logo reminds me of 7's Sunrise in Australia (which I hope Daybreak is similar to).

The background is just an edit of the one I used for my GMTV mock a few months back. It's on my YouTube channel and gathering dust here too! and I used those colours as a kinda transition through the programme and the day breaking. From the dark blue for the night sky (which is what we'll see come 6am in December!) and the orange for the day (9.25 and all that...).

Thank you for your comment Very Happy

I was going to say it felt like more of an Australian/ even American breakfast show - certainly the direction I think daybreak should head!

I like it - with all due respect to the others, yours is better than the others on here so far, I think. Well done!

Edit: Apoligies to Michael W - I seem to have attributed someone else's mock to yourself.

I like it - with all due respect to the others - in particular Michael W, who I think would criticise the mock he created if it were the real one they used - yours is better than the others on here so far, I think. Well done!

Thank you Mr House Smile It could do with plenty of work, and Vegas loves to make the files huge. But I'll try and churn some ideas out over the next few weeks now school is out! One thing I'm trying to come up with now is a graphics package. So I'll be on YouTube trying to see how other stations look, without being too boring, or too loud and cluttery, and come up with a consistent design (Something which GMTV needs, and has needed since I can remember!) and hopefully have a nice Daybreak package ready Smile

I'd love to see what you come up with - if I were you I'd try not to come up with something too boxy, as this seems to be one of the bigger problems graphics teams face these days. But yes, something inspired by other channels/ networks would be good!

Good luck with it!

That's the Daybreak logo I've made already. I made this when the name 'Daybreak' first started floating around last month

Definitly one of the best Daybreak mocks I've seen, although the spacing between the 'a' and 'y' needs tightening.

I quite like this one. It seems some thought has gone into it. I'm not saying others haven't bothered. Some are just unimaginative (they all try to stick to the Cadbury Purple). This is very reminiscent of Australian/American Breakfast TV branding. Please expand on this idea.

Right, I'm going to embarrass myself asking this, but I don't know and think it would be better if I did. What's the resolution/size I should use, that is used in TV, so It doesn't look stupid. 720x480 I usually use.

Thanks Embarassed

AfterEffects says 1050 x 576 for SD PAL WS
1280 x 720 is HD [720]
1440 x 1080 is HD [1080]

I think I'll go with Ooh, I'll go 1440 x 1080 then, considering the new Daybreak will be in HD. Thank you Michael
