COMPLAINT: SketchUp Mocks

This isn't a mock, but a complaint about the misuse of my mocks. In the past I have uploaded many set recreations that have been well received, but I have just learned that some of my recreations and mocks have been uploaded to the 3d Warehouse with no acknowledgement but with some very poor quality additions.

I have in the past uploaded some Sketchup files to the Gallery and PMed some within deals under the confidence of them not being uploaded anywhere or edited in anyway except for personal usage. I feel that this is an abuse of that trust and so in future will not be uploading SketchUp files on the Gallery or via PM except to the few members I can trust.

I have no idea whether this 'Rede P.' is a member of this forum or not, but I feel this has been a great abuse of trust and am sorry to those members who have enjoyed the ability to look around my SketchUp mocks in the past.

I acknowledge this may make me seem like a miserable old git but it has annoyed me more than I anticipated it would.

Do we vote "awful" as regards the situation?

I'm sorry you have to deal with this. You obviously put a ton of effort into your recreations, and this is a total violation of your intellectual property in that regard. I hope this doesn't dissuade you from creating more recreations, which are always a joy to look at.

Have you 'reported abuse'? You can complain to say that they have simply copied your work.

I have commented, asking for deletion but I'm not sure whether it is technically abuse as they were freely available on here and have been moderately edited (although in a way I hope won't be associated with my work).

Nevertheless, this hasn't deterred me and I have another set mock coming in the next few days.

I'd love to know what you were thinking when you decided to upload them, and how you'd feel if someone uploaded your work (with minor alterations) with no reference to yourself.

I want to apologize myself for using DTV's sketchup models. I think it wouldn't happen again.

Thanks for the apology and the deletion, but that doesn't stop the fact that it happened in the first place. Now I dread to think what would have happened if I had sent over any of my mocks as per his 8 PMs asking for them.
