I saw Critique's mock and thought that I would have a go at Comedy Central. Here is the logo:

I also came up with an idea for an ident. A crowd is walking along a street or something. Various speech bubbles pop up above people's heads, each containing the name of a show played on the channel, e.g. Mr. Bean. Towards the end, a bubble which is the CC logo would pop up. It would look like this:

The, the speech bubbles would fade away, except the logo one. This would expand into the middle and the video would blur, looking like this:

Not executed well at all but let's leave that to one side; what is the concept? People spouting "SOUTH PARK!" for no apparent reason?

You can't beat spending time on your mocks. And by time I mean more than a 30 minute MS Office power session.

I whipped this up in Photoshop in about 5 minutes, and it looks arguably better.

Right, erm, there IS an idea there, but I think maybe look at the font - you can find great free fonts if you go onto Dafont. I think the idea could be okay if you thought about it a bit, maybe explain themes, what would happen?

Yes a different font is exactly what this mock needs... and explaining the themes yes, yes... thats the way to go with the idea... of course having the idea and the right font is completely useless without the graphic design skills to put it into action. Both of the mockers who posted images in this thread do not currently have adequate graphic design skills to pull this off.

Please for the love of Jebus... don't let Comedy Central be the new Daybreak.
