My apologies, Mr. Bail. Very Happy

I've been throwing this one around - and get this - it's not a visual mock!

"Ident Conversations"

A simple idea, where one network could shoot another network a question, they answer it, and so on. They could start one at any point and time.

It wouldn't be one question after the other - then it would just get too stressful, boring, and repetitive.

If it's a question about the network, it can't be just the announcer's thoughts. The entire network team would have to pitch in to come up with an answer.

I thought it would be an interesting thing to witness. I mostly saw Channel 4 starting it off, since they're the network to think outside the box most of the time. Razz

Opinions welcome.

Isn't that what their Twitter feeds already do at times?
Do you even read these?

...Yeah, part of me thought the idea wasn't all that logical because of that.

You win some, you lose some, you get called weird, etc.

BBC1 did this (sort of) back in the 90s where the announcer had a chat with the Radio 2 presenter at closedown, letting them know what's on R2 after BBC1 closes down. I think people generally thought it was a bit weird.
Aspiring continuity announcer.

Alright then.

Since the "Ident Conversations" thing wasn't a logical idea, I won't continue it.

The recent Sky thread's become active again, so that motivated me to show off... more Sky mockups. Woo.

Sky Select is something of Sky Germany, described as such: "Enjoy your desired program at the right time."

The range of "channels" it has goes from one to nine, alongside two "Event" channels, A and B.

That keeps the recent uniformity thing going on with Sky at the moment. Nice job! Thumbs up
Ahh, the joys of TV.

PATV's been doing wonderfully on his Sky thread, and makes me wish I had the proper software to animate Laughing

On that note, I thought I'd go back on my Sky UKTV joke and extend it a little bit

and apparently PATV uses Powerpoint for his design purposes - to that, I say kudos - I usually use Inkscape.

In addition, one dude on another site thought my "Sky Disney" mock was a legitimate thing that was happening Very Happy

I generally find Powerpoint easier for graphics - it’s got very decent alignment tools, and is just generally easy to use whilst still presenting a good result (for stills certainly, if you’re going to animate use separate software and key it in).

Personally, I think their logo could use a fresh coat of paint.

I'll have you know I spent at least 60 seconds working on that metropol logo!

I think you'll find you did the pink version

The red one was designed to go with the desk theme... which actually may also have been you. The version with the scrunchy texture however was definitely a Norwich Designer move as part of the luxurious 70s room theme.
