Screams PowerPoint to me, with the use of the reflection.
Not a very imaginative logo, I don't get your 'breaking box'.

It's The fact it has an icon though, the BBC has boxes, but that doesn't represent anything does it.

The shattered box would make sense if it had 8 parts, not 7.
