Hello all!
So if you remember, my channel 4 mock went as well as a car crash.
So, I've listened to all your helpful suggestions and made a channel 5 mock.
I have been very inspired by tv3 in ireland and sweden. I think it may be more TV3 ireland but its up to you. Anyway, I've been busy working and things so I managed to do designs everyday after my things. I tried my best with the screen areas and followed the guide of how to mock.

So lets start.
The logo:
*

The dog:
*

The dog can extend into a black line that can lower into things like next and later.
It went a bit askew Confused , I'll reupload soon: *

Promo: * (similar to BBC 2's Window to the world theme)

And finally, the news: *

I will update it and do things like idents, etc. But i'd like to see what you think of this! Laughing

Fancy compressing the images first so that they actually fit on all of the screen?

Again, look at the Guide to Mocking. You've slightly come up with a theme, but its still not clear. Safe Areas are an issue, it needs to be at least safe for 16:9 televisions. And also your images need to be scaled down, massive for this forum. I'd say 640x360 / 800 x 450

Can you imagine Channel 5 using these graphics as they currently stand?

You need to put your graphics in the safe area, I'd recommend 16:9 safe as broadcasters are moving to that standard. But in terms of the package, it still needs a lot of work..

In my personal opinion I think their current ones are really naff.

I will try to do this and I tried to incorporate it in my designs. Thanks for your opinion.
BTW, why are we using safe areas when it's not gonna be put on tv?

I didn't ask what you thought of the current ones Smile

Because it's an integral part of designing for television. Everything produced for TV is done with safe areas in mind.
