To be honest this isn’t the place to be posting a draft of an idea. Think about working on something for a while and when you have no where else to go, and are genuinely proud of your work, post it here for feedback. Collaborative work only has legs when you’ve put in the effort in the first place!

I like it. Not very different from the original, but still has some unique features. 3/5 for me.

There is a reason why they abandoned a similar idea in the early 90s. Not a fan as it isn't a change for the better, but I am intrigued to see what you've done with the other channels.

I'm sorry but I do not like it at all.
Channel 4 has had primarily the same logo since 1982 and any attempt of getting rid of the iconic nine blocks would just not work.

The Channel 4 logo doesn't need changing, it's one of the best TV logos out there, it's been around nearly 40 years and it's still not outdated. A good logo design is one that's timeless, the recent Channel 4 sister channel rebrand logos really show that there's still a lot of life left in the logo. The only thing Channel 4 has done with the logo is adapted it to a fresh and modern design on each rebrand iteration.

Comments like this annoy me for one reason: why would you want to limit creative thinking? Nothing posted in The Gallery is ever going to be in contention for something seen on screen. I'm sure things posted previously have been seen by certain people and may have inspired certain looks - but by pressing submit on a mock, you are not entering it to be the next Channel 4 logo.

Therefore, what relevancy does it have that the current Channel 4 logo "doesn't need changing"?
Personally, I see The Gallery as a space to allow creativity that UK TV on occasion lacks, to experiment, and to see if we can create something exciting, or build on our work.

Shutting down someone's design because someone once created something better strikes me as massively illogical.

I haven't shutted down anyone piece of work and I'm not discouraging anyone to do mocks, Mockah's logo is a good attempt, but it will be hard to replace something iconic such as the Channel 4 logo. Obviously I'm fully aware these are mocks.

There's some people on here that are more critical than me and don't offer constructive criticism to the mock makers nor any sense of encouragement or direction.

Thanks for calling it a good attempt. Fun fact: I actually wondered what would happen if Channel 4 decided to get rid of the heavily iconic nine blocks. So I made this! I know that the nine-block variation is incredibly timeless, and could never be changed.

But I consider this more of a experiment rather an attempt.

And I am fully aware of the scrapped 90's branding, and how similar it looks to this.
