Stop. Delete. Start again, and take longer. It does not work.

If this took more than 5 minutes, I'll just assume it's because you were having your dinner.

There's no design here, it's been poorly thrown together, no attention to detail and zero chance of being seen on screen in this form.

I don't think I like this unfortunately.

Firstly, if C4 were to launch one I think the majority of people, and especially here on this forum, would support the relaunch of the Big Breakfast over the introduction of a new breakfast show and it's for this reason I can't see C4 ever opting into something like this because of the success its predecessor had. Plus, I can't actually see them launching a breakfast show any time soon.

Now, a couple of the things I don't like with your mock:

1) The logo - I don't think it says anything about the show and don't feel it mixes well with your other graphics. The logo show hold strong when used elsewhere and should be something that minus the words can be instantly recognisable to what it is - I'm thinking the GMB logo shape without the text, you'd still know it was GMB.

2) Safe areas - they have been completely ignored. Basically, your lower thirds are like lower fourths in the sense that parts of them wouldn't be visible on screen. You will need to move your graphics up a tad, especially on image 2.

3) Colour scheme - You have used an orange logo which IMO doesn't blend well with the rest of your current colour scheme. I'm presuming your going for a C4 news integrated show with the purple, but personally I think lighter colours at breakfast time but this is just personal preference.

4) General - It just doesn't seem appealing or actually something you would see on TV, can you actually imagine turning on C4 and seeing this?

My advice for you would be to make alterations especially where I have picked up on faults. We all have to start somewhere and I guess for a new member, who is possible unaware of the standards of other mocks, this looks good but unfortunately it just doesn't fit, I get a sense that maybe you spent time on it but only because you were getting used to how to work everything but in reality you probably on spent half an hour on this.

At the moment I have to give this a 1/5 but my advice is take on board what other users will probably comment too and work away on it. Come back, possibly with video animations too but I would never suggest giving up, it just takes time and I'm happy to offer you any support you need, as I am sure the rest of the forum is too.

Good luck!

I'm sorry but this isn't very good. There's barely any thinking in the graphics, there's no substance to it. It screeches "cheap".

I'm presuming on image 2, those are name tags. Unfortunately being on one small tab, and everything being in the same font weight, it reads as "Lucy Brand Michael Smurt Crime Analyst Retired Detective". It's confusing to say the least.

The logo isn't recognisable. Remove the text from the Gold logo, and chances are you'd still think "oh, that's Gold". Removing all text from this, on the other hand, would just reveal an orange circle. Hardly distinctive.

Unless you're making a pre-1999 TV mock, use 16:9 images for your mocks instead of 4:3. And, as Declan said, use safe areas -
this graphic will help you out a lot.

You're a new member, so I'm not going to bite your head off like some might (I've been there before believe me Wink), but I will ask you to consider these points before you try again.

Keep going with this! It is certainly an interesting concept, it just needs work.

And check your grammar before you submit pictures:

CHANNEL 4 BREAKFAST SHOW - REBOOT
Last time was a very bad mock ! This one is obviously not 'great' but I have begun updating it !

The show name is 'Sunrise' - I think it gives a more pleasant sound that 'Channel 4 breakfast' !
I have also tried to get a more distinct logo for the show ! Took some inspiration from GMB (ie the ticker)
Hopefully this one is better ? Thumbs up

Why so many fonts?

Gosh. The only thing I can say is; take a step back - and ask yourself "Is this something I would expect to see on TV?" - and if the answer is no, them you need to work on it.

Name: If GMTV couldn't have the name, then Sky will probably not let Channel 4 have it either.

Logo: I don't like it, nor do I think it's in the right decade, reminds me of the TVAM logo and BBC Breakfast Time logo.

Image 1: The headline box seems inspired from another mock. The ticker text is tiny, and is a different font.

Image 2: The spacing around 'Downing Street' needs widening.

Image 3: The split screen captions are overly large, and should match the size of the second image's live bug.

Image 4: That name aston is just ridiculous...

Image 5: ...and so is this one.

Image 6: N/A

Image 7: Channel 4 already has a promo end board.
