In terms of simplicity, use the red and green 'device' to your advantage. If you want it to be simple, ableit dull, why not just use:
It uses the device as an area for the main strap and ticker to originate from, and there's minimal clutter. However, it uses one of the most overused fonts of all time (Gotham), and is generally quite dull.
And in it's Safe Areas suit, we can see everything vital fits in, with the ticker going to the edge of the screen, because it doesn't need to fit in a certain area, but with the strap going to the edge of the 4:3 title area, as it should.
