A quick attempt at integrating the BBC Two logo within the opening animations of the Origami World Christmas idents:

This brings the set more in-line with the regular package whilst hopefully making the box seem less tacked on.

BBC TWO Northern Ireland actually has the logo from the start, fading off before the 2 cut-out appears.

Though, in fairness to you (and not a criticism of anyone else), I think you've had time to make a better job of it.

Interesting as last year they were as Network. The June 2009 method makes far more sense with this package though; the centred 2 makes the box look decidedly off.

Come to think of it, didn't BBC2 NI initially use a simple 'Northern Ireland' tag centred under the 2 when the pacakge first aired in 2007 before being quickly towed back into line?

No, they weren't towed back in to line. For the first day or so there was no logo/box at all when the ident aired in 2007. BBC NI decided to tag it with 'Northern Ireland' themselves. Then London realised they were missing a trick and decided to add the logo. At that point BBC NI followed suit and added their version of the logo/box.

Nice little tweak, works quite well. I'm wondering though, what was your method? Was it just a case of masking in After Effects?

Close - just frame by frame masking in Sony Vegas.

Clean endboard was achieved by combining the 07/08 and 09/10 edits, again through masking.

Looks really good, I didn't even realise what you had done at first it was that convincing. Works very well.
