BBC2 End Board Mock

Hello all. This is my bash at a BBC2 end board mock. The current trailer layout on BBC2 is very different to lets say, the end board. This is what would happen if the end board design would mix with the trailer.

What would happen is that as the trailer ends, it would fade out to black and then it would zoom out to reveal the "2" at the top of the screen. Then, the details on the programme would fade in as well as the BBC Two logo without the box. The colour scheme would change depending on the programme. I might make a video version depending on the reviews.



Sorry about the jagged edges on the text, I do not have Avenir installed on my computer so I had to improvise with a font website.

Would the '2' show an image of the programme behind it? If so then I think it would be a little too small.

It would be too small, that's why I didn't include an image.

In the case of colour clashes I've made a second version. I've added shadows to the 2 and to the text.

Just doesn't work for me I'm afraid - with both logos on screen the "2" has to be more part of the background rather than front and centre to really work.

Thank you for your honesty. Though I cannot make the 2 go in the centre because it cannot find anywhere for the text to go to look good, I have made the 2 part of the background.

Doesn't really work, tbh. It's waaay too limiting.

I really do think they need to drop the wording now and just incorporate the blocks alongside the "2" logo - or given their recent efforts even drop the current "2" logo completely in favour of a new identity, which may or may not include the numeral.

It's possible for the two to co-exist. The problem they have at the moment is that they have two logos thanks to the introduction of the box in 2001. Remember from 1997 promos didn't even include the numeral. I don't think it's necessary for the numeral to be used everywhere.
