Hello! This mock is showcasing some of my designs for menus during the BBC2 '1991-2001' era. These menu designs are coincidentally similar (more like nearly identical) to the menus BBC2 Northern Ireland commissioned near the end of the 'yellow' era.

There are several different versions of the menu. There is one for what is coming up after the finished programme; one for later that night; one for the next day and ones for each day of the week. Each menu incorporates a different ident. The ident is zoomed in so that it can sit comfortably next to the text on the left. The ident soundtrack is also present albeit quiet so that it doesn't clash with the announcer. The menus can have either three or four programme slots.

I like these, very nice. You need to sort the BBC logo out though, and I think the font is too big on the 'Tonight' 'Coming Up' bits. Other than that, I like!

Yes, well done, not rocket science though.

Thank you for that comment. When you say "sort the BBC logo out", could you clarify a tad bit more for me?

Haven't all you've done is add text on top of a video?

It's not anti-alised, meaning that we're seeing jagged edges when its meant to be smooth.

Yet is still better than some of the crap around here.

I like its, very original and i dare say could be better over time.

Nice enough for what they are - indeed it's quite difficult even for the team behind BBC2's presentation today to ruin these classics.

Would be nice though to see a bit of originality back in this forum - and perhaps a new evolution of the BBC2 branding would be a great challenge for some of the brilliant mockers here.

I'm afraid there is not much I can do about that. The BBC Two logo I found had white text inside the boxes and I fought chroma key would do the trick. Sorry, it's just software limitations.

I agree.
