It's something I've thought about, but the single one shot overcranked look I think works really well for it, it allows the symbol to be fore whilst using its context to add emotion or personality. As I say the first two "easy" ones are Poweder and Silk, which I'll do first, but seeing powder some other angles as it falls might be nice...
Still we have props, lights, a slowmo camera...

Really liking what you're trying to do but agree with WillPS about the 2 not being very present. Would love a bit more info about how you made this - are we seeing exactly what you filmed or is there a bit of post production in there too?
And god, those menus were long in the 90's weren't they!

It's tricky, I suspect the real one was using a much much larger "2" so that it became more defined overall, if you look they have about 4/5 reams stitched together and I suspect a very large 2 under it. But without scale it's hard to tell.
However! This was the "easy" one to do because it didn't require a finished and lacquered "2" my quick drop test for Powder and Paint pot look like they'll do very well. Here's a sneak peak.

Hmmmm. It's interesting but very jumpy and the 2 isn't nearly as present as it should be. Perhaps you need an extra fan pushing the sheet against it?

I seem to recall reading that Silk was filmed under water with a light shining through the tank with the cyan gel over it to achieve the '2' being visible and the waving of the material - no idea if you've done that but may be worth experimenting with!
