Glad you're aware of safe areas, however the problem is that there isn't a 'concept' to them. Do a bit more research into channel design so you know what 'looks' good. I can't see this working as a package at all, the colours clash majorly and the fonts are very mismatched.

Anyway, I won't do idents yet because of the concept that dbl is talking about. I will try to make the concept better and lets hope we're all happy after V3.

I think one of the main problems is the changing typeface for the logo's. It'd be much more appropriate just using a generic BBC "Channel Name" like the BBC themselves used in the late 90's, until they started to derail at some point in 2003.
My advise on how to improve it is just to start over completely, look at the areas where you're mock fell down and see how other mockers on here have approached their designs (although this really applies to any below-par mock).

This is not officially V3 yet but I would like to give you a concept I would like to do for endboards. I did BBC Two since it has the symbol - the Two in Gill Sans. Speaking of Gill Sans, it's going to be the generic BBC TV font for ALL BBC TV channels. (UK only)
So here's the endboard idea I'd like to do for the endboards for BBC 1,2,3 and 4 in V3!
