So I decided to create a new menu design based off the design principle I had made previously in this thread.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xgxld4-kZ9g

While I do think the menu is quite smooth, it does need some work for it to work primetime. For example, when the menu is switching between BBC2 and BBC3, there's a slight error made during the animation between them at the bottom of the icon. I will try to fix it as I can.

Looks nice, however I do think the BBC1 logo needs a radical update as the rounded 1 doesn't really suit the channel going into the digital era. The rounded 1 imo looks a bit, um, early 00s-ish. I don't really know what to say about it tbh

If you want, why not use some inspiration from the new logo for Flemish channel één?

If you give BBC One a more modern logo kinda like this one, it'll make it look much better than before.
This is just a recommendation.

That is a very refreshing logo.

It does seem like the new Één logo has sort of overshadowed my original "1" symbol, I'll see if I can create something similar to that, if not better later on.
Do you even read these?

Red should be kept but I think the blocky and diamond ones would look great when they animate.

Diamond, but red.

I will make these in red depending on which looks better animated. In my eyes, I quite like the Diamond animation, since each individual part is faded in and sort of gives BBC1 a sort of modest picture, whilst being less grossly unmatched with BBC1's serious programming.

The right one, while still being modern in today's world of blocky and modern design, sort of has a "knock-on" effect with it especially on serious programming as compared to the "diamond" design.

The diamond one would imo give BBC1 a more premium look imo

I'd do like to see the other ones, the cut out and the round but straight logos animated. The cut out one does like a modern logo worthy off being on-screen.

I think that 1 looks better, the animations are nice as well, however I’d suggest that you possibly try and recreate the current BBC Three animation rather than the zoom from the middle of the box.

(I’ll make a side note, I assume that the first video on your post is from Metropol? If so, I, and any other Apple users can’t see it, It’s a weird thing to do with the public status of the video, you have to go back to the upload page a deselected the green tick)
