I agree Francis, doesn't work.

Maybe try to mix the current CBBC logo with the style you're creating for the others.

Something like this?

I think CBBC/cBeebies are recognisable enough to be in their own brand. Like BBC News, it's not something I plan on doing.

My mind is reading it as BBC CBBC... Maybe reduce the BBC logo further to make it less prominent.

To be honest I read the current CBBC logo as CBBC BBC. Always has bugged me as it does not look right to me.

I would keep the CBBC and CBeebies brands. CBBC One just does not work.

Simple is the most effective. Keep trying and messing around.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Here's all four logos I've gone for, if anyone wants to add anything then please do:

I've gone off the CBBC, I would use the current logo and put one and two in front.
Or you just can keep the CBBC name and remove CBeebies so it would be like the 1980s etc.
And remove the squid and spiky monster cos that may give little people night mares!

Looks far better than what we have now with the inconsistency. Definitely agree with the decision to rename BBC Four to Arts as thats what it is.
I always thought CBBC should remain its own branding due to the special role it plays, so reducing the BBC logo size and keeping thr current logo would work well.

BTW, my mocks were inspired by yours so no need to mention me for anything. Smile

BBC News. This logo doesn't fit in with the main channels, but, like the kids channels, I believe the news sub-brand is strong enough to stand away from the crowd.

Credit to mdtauk for the globe and its intricate details - hope you don't mind me using it Smile

Any thoughts? Should I continue with this, or should I leave it be?

Not a good move, never like Gill Sans in bold. What's wrong with just using the same method as before but keep it uppercase.

I had tried but it looked awkward with the globe to it's right. See here...

Right, keep BBC News boxed! Thanks for your opinion, helps a lot Smile

I meant with the BBC One font.

Similar to my style? (with the text and logo placement with BBC and NEWS).

I was going for the same style as Regional News (Look North, etc) but you're right it does look like your work. Sorry! Embarassed

AxG, I made this title card with uppercase BBC1 font and this lowercase logo, again same font. Any better?
I'm thinking for this to work it might need an adapted title sequence, something I'm not ready to do on AE CS4 yet unfortunately.
