Here's the classic BBC 1 globe in the balloon era colours with the current logo wrapped in a festive glow, only because I used to like watching a spinning planet more than I've enjoyed watching a clumsy sprout. Happy new year
Love love love it! Visually that works superbly - and the music gets better as it goes on.
I almost think to they could get away with one ident as stunning as that and then as in the 90s build up the presentation package around it to be far more varied. If they wanted numerous idents but at no cost perhaps simply having various colours and moving away from red being the theme of BBC One would work, with trailers switching to the occassionally used 1997 style with the logo remaining at the bottom and text above. Alternative I'm sure if you actually thought about it the globe could be implemented in different ways to suit different shows.
Great again, my only problem is that the BBC One logo should be in front of the globe. However, I understand that might look weird still.....
No it shouldn't. That would make it a logo slapped on top of an animation - the way pip2 has done it means the logo is part of the ident, integrated into globe just as the 1 was in the 90s.
Probably better made than any BBC promotion in the last few years. Please do keep going with this and develop it into a full package - really do think you have the talent and the understanding to make something quite special here.
