I am liking this mock,

it is possible to make the ticker in PowerPoint (if you remember my GMB graphics were made in PowerPoint) Smile

Back again, have taken some of your comments in but have decided to give it a go with a 'flipper' rather then a 'ticker'. Make it look a bit CNNey.

Give me some of your thoughts on this, thanks guys.

(Just realised my headlines at the start on this do not match any of the other stories in the graphics Embarassed)

Not too sure on the ultra thin typeface you're using for some of the graphics, like the flipper. I think it would be hard to read especially on Freeview SD for example.

I'd definitely be interested in seeing the flipper make an appearance on UK TV though, seems like an interesting alternative to the ticker. Although IIRC CNN have ditched it now.

The ticker text is not very legible because of the font choice. Also the font sizes seem too small in general. You have to imagine this running on a small TV.

Another problem is with the ticker. If you are going for a flipper, instead of a scroller - you need to make sure it adherers to the text safe area, otherwise 4:3 or 14:9 screens will have the text cut off. With a scrolling ticker, the text gradually moves across the screen, so it can fall off the edge of the visible area and screen.

Fab! Unlikely but would you mind sharing the keynote file so I can see just how you're getting your animations? My keynote designs never seem as good... Feel free to say no as I dread to think of the number of 'mockers' who could come up with monstrosities that originate from your design...
