Follow on from my previous mock (November 2015)

That said, I'm pretty sure the odd mock logo has appeared on broadcast TV when a hurried / lazy researcher has needed a logo and just googled for it. People have certainly got TV work based on portfolios including mock designs that have been shown on this site, so don't go dismissing everyone else's work just because you don't see the point in making a polished product.

A modified Challenge TV logo appeared on a website, IIRC.

It was when somebody edited the retro logo to have the second L in "CHALLENGE" lie within the first L, a la Carlton. It turned up on Sky's Anytime service as the thumbnail for Challenge's on demand programmes.

It was Invent Meridian. He also did a BBC One logo mock (that I asked him to do!) mixing the 1991 typeface with the 1997 stripped logo style, that turned up on a digital switchover video (a printout stuck to one of the analogue transmitter machines).

Video for Breakfast, I'm going to start making a couple of studios, but not in great detail, just so that it looks like the existing studios so I can put my graphics on the various screens.

What are you doing??
Your title sequences are a mile away from being complete and you're already onto trying to make studio mocks? Not to mention how you really haven't taken in any of our criticism on the astons like the gradient animation. Focus on perfecting the basic stuff before moving onto Sketchup.

The countdown sequence feels nowhere as dramatic in the last few seconds as the current one does, you loose the urgency with the current sequence with that slow pan out. The red box doesn't play well with the orange background and text next to it. The studio mocks frankly are OK but the graphics just mar it.

Finish off and perfect the astons, countdown and title sequences before investing time in studio mocks when doing a whole rebrand.

It may not be much feedback but can I suggest you swap the clock and the Breakfast "logo" I'm not a fan of when the word "Breakfast" seems to hanging over the BBC News logo.

As you can see i mainly focused on titles, but i will try and work on further graphics, I do plan to keep "the jarring gradients" as i personally like them and my mock should be something that i can take advice on and improve but still like myself and i like the gradient idea that i chose to do.
I am in the process of recreating and adapting the 'pushback' and will hopefully be able to post that soon.

If you think my titles are 'a mile away from being complete' can you suggest how I can improve them, just don't say adding the lines in-between the place names as I cannot do that
also just so you know my studio mocks are made in Blender, not SketchUp

Maybe once I make everything I might make a video where it goes through the day and the different programmes and graphics and if I use the countdown I'll just use the one I've made but only for the logo positioning (and for my benefit).

It wouldn't work as I would have to do the same for the NC and WN (WN with the GMT, Impact, Outside Source, etc. DOG's)

Just no. It looks terrible and sloppy.

With the titles, you haven't gone for an original idea. Which is fine, we aren't demanding an original idea. But, if you're not coming up with the idea and instead recreating something, at least recreate it well. As it stands, the titles are just a poorly done recreation of existing titles. Either come up with a new idea, or make some drastic changes to the titles so they're much more polished.

I had to recreate the titles to fit my colour scheme and cater for the box.

I can't exactly do something and do it 'well', you cannot expect me to produce something like mdta's or pip2's mocks, as I've said plenty of times, this was my first go at After Effects (and I don't want to start another 3 page argument on this) as you will always get the people who say, "it's not good enough use AE" or "Use After Effects or something similar", I personally believe for a first time go my titles are not bad, they definitely are basic compared to the titles used now but I cannot produce something very detailed with not much experience and 30 days to do it (Trial). And no one better say to me "Well if you think they are basic, then why did you post?!" I'm fine with them, and any improvements that I can do I will try and take on board.

As I've said the countdown is for my benefit (to cater for the box) and the Breakfast Video will probably be the only video I use it in, we've already had the discussion on it being basic and "not emotive enough" and I have said that I'm going to skip the countdown and just use mine for my benefit.

Some ideas I have for VD, these are what would be on the touchscreen in the background, Ideas 1 & 2 are different ideas, Idea 3 combines them.

Personally I like Idea 3 the best, but I want to give you the choice, Idea 1, 2, 3 or you hate all of them.
