I like, however, sometimes it sounds a bit weird (drums at 0:28 for example)

OH MY GOD!!! I absolutely love this! Its fantastic on all levels. I disagree with Michael W about the drums, they really break up the music for those few seconds and the whole thing is much more of a build up that the current package! It sounds very modern yet the simplicity at times is very refreshing!

Excellent work! You said on your youtube description that the audio download is available on demand?? I would really like to have the audio please!!

The wierd drums as you put it were to make it sound a bit more rock, has a lead guitar in there as well.

The fact is, i have been able to recreate, Fairly accurately, most of the elements from the original music using Software Instruments. So the extra bits like the strings detache towards the end, and other little elements are my way of distinguishing my countdowns from the real thing.

What is the point of replicating something exactly as the original.

I do these countdowns because i enjoy fiddling about with music on my computer. and if other people get some enjoyment out of listening to them... great.

PS. Audio downloads are now available in the REQUESTS forum.

As i said earlier i love your mock, however the very subtle piano parts in the last 5 seconds sound odd somehow!

Another top-notch mix, IMHO. The entry of the drums is absolutely fine, but I reckon that the execution could perhaps be a bit better. The snare sounds are a bit too much on the shallow side, and more generally they could also have benefited from matching the underlying crescendo instead of each of the hits being of the same rhythm and volume.

But after listening a few times to the mock as a whole, it's really grown on me. Nice work.

The problem with the snare is i dont actually have a snare in my audio package. The sound is made up from several other drums, so if the sound gets too loud it actually doesnt sound like a snare at all. So i needed to disguise it with other sounds, smoke and mirrors if you will.

In the broadcast 60 countdown the "snare sound" in the run up to the 30s mark is actually a processed pluck from an Ovation Guitar, with a high hat. If you play it on its own it actually sounds like a guitar. If you listen to my news suite, you'll notice i worked around it, the snare is totally missing.

I dont know what to say - I LOVE the odd sounding piano parts in the last few seconds.

Smile thanks again for all your opinions, as usual, they are extremely useful for the creative process

Okay remix, but I prefer the current one. 3/5.

Well, in the sense that I signed up because SomeRandomStuff posted the link to this forum on his YouTube video. Am I doing something wrong?

No, I'd ignore him, this is hardly conclusive.

I posted the link of the forum on my video because I decided to give Members exclusively the ability to download the original audio files. Thus giving the forum FREE ADVERTISEMENT. (even though most topics tend to descend into bitching sessions, with grammar and spellcheck. STAY ON TOPIC FFS)

As for Mr. Washbrooks reasons for joining this forum, I couldn't give a sheep and neither should you. He is entitled to his opinion, and you are entitled to yours.

Wow. You've turned into an utterly charming member.

I liked your mock music too, but now they're bitter like ashes in my ears.

Well done.
