Inspiration taken from the BBC's Spending Review Graphics

Inspired by the BBC's 2010 Spending Review graphics, I designed this mock TOTH sequence for the BBC News Channel.

Wow, don't like it.
It's does not suit a news channel, and I hate the BBC News logo like that.

Well executed, but it doesn't fit with a news channel as said.

You took the inspiration for a serious national news channel countdown from a local news programme?

Wow. Just wow.

No, those graphics were used during the Spending Review nationally as well.

They are well executed but don't suit the News Channel. It has a very metropolitan feel to it in my opinion so perhaps BBC London? (Or am I just thinking that because of the music...?)

I agree with Chris. They're not bad, but they're definitely not suitable for the News Channel.
Also it might be nice if the circle was incorporated into the end of the titles, isntead of having circles all the way through and then having a box.... it doesn't scream consistency.

Nice work though Smile

Well I really like it for one. The music is great and I do like the main logo and the animation of the headline strap (though would like to see more of that package). And although I like the concept and it looks good, the titles themselves do need work to make them more suitable for a rolling news channel. It needs some work, but it would be worth working on IMO and seeing where it goes.

Love the music.

Love the music.

It should be stressed the music is not a mock but from BBC London radio.
