BBC News Channel staggered!

OK, so I've listed to what's been said and have...

- increased the size of the flipper text
- made the headline bigger than the secondary information
- have given an example of how it could work on BBC One bulletins

I've not changed some things...

- Yes AxG, I am using 3 shades of red. I like the bright red for Breaking News so have kept that
- Whataday, sorry but I really don't like that little triangle. I wasn't aiming for a ribbon effect and I think that's taking it too far
- David Whitfield, I thought about how the clock would show up on white backgrounds, but being television the picture moves/changes frequently, so any periods when the clock isn't fully visible, wouldn't last long, and as it only changes every minute by definition I don't think that's an issue. I like how it's nice and clean without backgrounds as it is.

So here's my slight tweaks...

Have added it over some random video - the clock looks fine in just white with no background in my opinion. Judge for yourselves...

I really don't like the clock, at all - sorry. Some nice designs here though and showing promise.

Is it time the BBC moved away from having news on display? Could it not be the BBC blocks and the clock, that way there would be no need for difference between N24 and WN.

I agree - it would look awful with a shadow or strap behind it, and for me the clock is non-core information anyway. It's nice to have, but if it blends into the background occassionally it's not a huge loss.
