Just a quick idea for BBC News...


I know it's an idea that's been done to hell, but the basic premise is to minimise the amount of screen clutter. The astons would size automatically dependent on the longest text string. So if the top line is longer than the bottom line, the bottom line will expand to the full length of the top, and vice versa. Hope that makes sense.

So, is it worth carrying on? Or perhaps it's one for the scrap heap!

IMO, they are too much like the original BBC Sport graphics.

They're too 'gappy', I think. I quite like the idea, but then again - it's quite similar to the 2003 graphics. I almost want something entirely new. Still, not bad, just needs a little tweaking I feel.
