BBC NEWS 2012

Hey Guys,

Ive been working on this BBC News Mock for some time now. The look of BBC News hasn't really changed in a long time now, its only ever been slight changes that they have ever made. With the olympics coming up and the BBC webite having a new look I thought it would be nice if BBC News had a new look and also a new music package and here's what ive come up with.

First of all here is the new Countdown track:

Ive gone with a more up-beat theme for the package. I really liked the 2007 sky news beat and that's where I had the idea from to go more 'club-mix'.

I have gone from the red to a blue/purple colour as I personally think it looks nicer on-screen.
the live strap will always appear in the top right of the screen and the white backing of the text 'London would change acording to size of the place name. The colour of the font (for example on screen now the business is in blue) will chane for each catagory, for example sport would be yellow ect... .I will be making a video version soon so that you can see how it all animates on-screen.

I really hope you like the new look I have designed and feedback is welcome and will be taken on-board if you think the mock could be altered to be made better. More images and music coming very soon.

Channel 4 News rang, they want their purple back. IMO BBC News is and should be red.

I'll re-colur it for you to see if it looks okay in red shortly. and thanks for the comment

Safe areas not kept,
Ticker should go to edge,
'NEWS' should be in Gill Sans and be the same height as the 'BBC' letters.

How long is "some time"? I see a solid... what, hour at the most? Can't be more than that. Less said about your music choice, leave it to someone else to point out how stupid it is, Bradley.

If Sky News was your inspiration, did you intentionally use a track that's based on a BBC theme then? (State One - Forever and a day - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pienv-u3Kq8)

As I said, here is the the red version. IMO its not as good as the purple version

How come the music was uploaded to tvmocker14's metropol account..?

Because he remains tvmocker14, just he needed a way to profess his love for morning programming in an effective way that leaves nobody uncertain who his first love truly is. Since Mum said no to the tattoo, he got this.

The REAL reason JK08 is that this is a fresh start for me, there have been a few people on this forum who have for some reason not liked me and thought that some things that I had said were wrong where as I could say the same about them I guess but with a few of those people I have patched things up and we now get on okay. The reason I joined this site was to make friends who also was intrested in tv themes and graphics. So I have changed my name for that reason, I don't want to fall out with people.

Sorry to go further off topic but... of all the names you could choose for your username...

Sorry if I'm missing something, but if people have been giving you stick under tvmocker14, will they not do the same now? Just a name change, will that stop it?
