Maybe because this whole idea is a concept of what James Mobbs and the BBC North team could have done?
And also what BerkshireJames’ didn’t do.
I don’t understand. Why spend 3 hours looking for drone footage of a different city to where the show comes from?

Many of us who post mocks aren’t graphic designers either, I’m not either.
I’m not saying your mock is bad, I’m just saying it’s simple. Read what I said again, I’m trying to help you, part of the reason you may get some more negative comments is because sometimes it looks as though some of your mocks can be made in a couple of minutes by some, even though you may have spent a bit of time on them. Don’t make something in a day or two and upload it, try to expand it as much as you can. What you’ve done fits the box of correcting the new titles, however could you not spend a couple more days expanding on that and correcting some other faults people have, such as the inconsistent lower thirds, could you not create new graphics based upon the headline strap, or create something new, removing the BBC News lower thirds entirely? That’s up to you to decide, but it could help users validate your work a bit more, since it then shows us that you’ve put more effort in creating something.
I think you need to stop focusing on entirely on the negatives, I tried to help you be suggesting an idea, but you’ve only focused on what I said about the software. I think I said this before on one of your other mocks that you deleted, but when you first start out, you always believe that your work is the best thing ever, but those comments come in that dishearten you, they’re not being mean. they’re being honest, often resulting in the poster wanting to quit without even trying, which looking back, seems to be what you said you did, you need to keep developing your mocks, that’s what builds up your skills, especially when your respond to criticism, if you respond negatively, you’re not going to get anywhere, if you actually take it on board, then you’ll learn from that and take it on board for future mocks. I even admit myself, that my first mocks were bad compared to where I’m at now. If you chose to accept the advice that I said above, then start out with a recreation then develop it into your own idea if you think that will help you.
Like I’ve said time and time again, I’m not a graphic designer nor am I an expert at this. It is a hobby of mine.

I think the reason you are getting criticism is that it was not an original idea. BerkshireJames did it, there's not really any variation possible other than switching the drone shots, which still makes it an unoriginal idea.
A better idea would be to use the sunrise 'flare' and the BBC Breakfast text and design something around that, rather than the boring old drone shots.
