After doing a mock of what the studio could look like in Salford about a year ago - thought I'd do a mock of the actual studio now we've seen it.

I've been using lots of caps and the 360 view of the NWT studio to try and scale it as accurately as I can.

Any comments or suggestions welcome - I know it's still in need of some texturing in places, and I plan to render it and introduce real presenters in future.

Just a note - I didn't create the cameras or the people so all credit goes to their original makers.

How have you got caps of next to all of the screens in the studio! A few of them are straight on in Caps, and easy enough to procure, but otherwise, they seem to quite difficult to get.

In terms of studio, quite nice indeed, although the render really could improve it, especially by the far end where there are no screens.

Would be interesting to see if you could clad this in NWT livery, too.

I got the backdrops through lots of cropping and stretching - problem is most of them are hard to get because presenters and guests are in front of them, and they come out quite poor quality.

I will try and render once I've got the hang of the program which I can never seem to get quite right!

I plan to change it to NWT style once I've done the Breakfast one the best I can. Thankyou for the comments!

You've got the general shape down pat, but for a mock which is a recreation of an existing studio rather than something new I'd have expected a bit more detail. The sofa, for instance, needs quite a bit of work.

There's a programme with a free trial called SU Podium with which you can easily create rendered images, I encourage you to try it out as Sketchup screenshots really lower the quality of your work.

A great job in general, the way you've included caps of the lightboxes and plasmas adds a lot.

Thankyou for your comments - will give that program a go later on. Regarding the sofa - where could the improvements be made, as I've tried to make it as close as I can to the real thing?

I've just noticed that the sofa doesn't have a back to it, on the topmost section.
