The opening shot is about 60% complete, and here is a tease for you all.

Shocked How do you compose the lines and cities? I've been wondering how that works...

I think it's a case of drawing the lines in 3D space and making the text follow with a parent or whatever Razz But it's impressive work none the less!

To put it simply, I create text and place it in 3D space, then I draw out a spline (2D points with lines and curves between them) between the text, and add a thickness to the lines so they have some 3D substance and are visible.

Then I attach the text to the lines and create a small invisible sphere. I attach the lines to the sphere, so when I rotate the sphere, so do the lines and text.

Finally I add an orientation constraint to the text, so it always appears straight on to the camera, and then I render the text and lines separately in black and white, before bringing them into After Effects/

FINALLY after 4 days non stop (other than dinner and sleep) the mock is done.

For the best quality please view it in full HD!

Excellent as always!!

Only to tiny little things I'd say to make it perfect. One of the place names is 'Midlands'; normally it's cities rather than regions that appear on the titles. Secondly, perhaps the formation of the actual name 'BBC Breakfast' could be a little more prominent. When I watched it, it sort of appeared out of the corner of my eye and didn't really catch my attention.

But these are little nit-picks of mine. This is absolutely brilliant and probably better than what we'll actually end up with.

Just phenomenal. You could post that on YouTube under the guise of it being the actual titles and people would believe you! Really excellent.

Including 'Midlands' was a request I got in a PM from Mike W I also added 'Pebble Mill' as a reference to another morning show Smile

The BBC Breakfast text is designed to smoothly transition into view, in time to the music, but there are sweeping rings which "uncover" it, and the BBC News box comes from behind the orb.

Thanks Asa and everyone for the positive comments. If you have any critiques, do feel free to mention them!
