This has been my favourite mock thread to follow.
You've been improving massively and these new designs look really good!
Well done.

I can't be the only one who thinks the sunrise is too close to the logo and text... right?

I forgot this existed for a little bit Very Happy

9:07 has a summary film of the original 1997 rebranding, and I felt like quoting something from the film, specifically from the 15:00 mark:

Quote:
If we had used a completely different shape to contain the letters, the result would have looked more like the "Bansted Barrah Council" [?] ... or the "Big Biro Company". It would have lost it's BBC-ness.

I shall leave this to your collective imaginations.

Well, thanks for that "history lecture". Thumbs up Mr. Lambie-Nairn gave me some pretty sage words of advice there.

Of course, I didn't mean to shoot down your project or anything.

I just thought you'd like to see that little bit of branding.

Well of course not. On my part, I actually felt a bit inspired watching that.

Here we go! More BBC News graphics! Today I'm focusing on on-screen graphics, which I altered slightly to go with my "edgy" design as seen in my title screens.

To start off, Here's a TOTH headline:
*

Studio/presenter shots:
*
*
*

And finally, Breaking News:

That flipper text, is far too small.

I just fixed that through editing the previous post. Thumbs up

Right, here's a small portion of revamped BBC News branding! I'm first gonna focus on the title screens this time before moving on to on-screen graphics, so without further ado, here's my revamped concept on a generic opening for BBC News bulletins.

*

BBC One bulletins (afternoon, evening and late):
*

BBC Breakfast:
*

English regions (London shown here as an example):
*
Note: Midlands Today has been changed to West Midlands Today to avoid confusion with East Midlands Today.

And finally, nation-specific news:
*

I've just discovered this thread, some really good designs, in particular the main BBC News & second Breakfast designs. Thumbs up from me.

(I put the quote in as a spoiler so it didn't slow the page down)

I think your title cards are good, but it's hard to see how those lower thirds are an improvement on the current ones - I may have said this already but IMHO you should either keep the current L3s or revert to a completely different style.

Whole mock is improving a lot though - I like how, unlike some, you're taking the feedback onboard.
