This has to be the worst mock ever
Well, obviously that is a matter of opinion but it currently has a two star rating which obviously makes it a better mock than those rated 1 star at least in the collective eyes of TV Forum.
All alone on Christmas Day, David?
I spent 3 days over Christmas with my family which is why I didn't post on TV Forum on Christmas day at all. I'm not sure what point you were making by posting on Christmas day yourself but thanks for your concern anyway.
The mock is surely profiling the posters editing ability, I could well imagine something ideally going out on channel like Avago, the only things that were probably not right was the text that came up.
Yes, I think the collection of clips and the editing still just about works. I agree with the words looking terrible, I could blame Microsoft Windows Movie Maker but I think my lack of design skill also plays a large part. I could pay for the most expensive software and still not come up with anything better.
I've given this mock a high mark as a result.
Thank you, kind sir.
I'm starting to wonder if Tumbly and David are related.
Thank you for your interest. As far as I know, Tumble Tower and myself are not related.
Next time, don't use Movie Maker. It limits the imagination by using plain and boring templates.
I would suggest you use something around the lines of After Effects or Photoshop or Inkscape or GIMP. Just please, don't use Movie Maker!
I take your advice on board but I really don't think I should blame my tools here. You don't have to worry though. This is not a hobby I am about to continue.
It is far from the worst for as long as such luminaries as Rapier whatever continues to make mocks. Still, added insight to this whole mock and the inner machinations of the deranged can be found on his (I assume it's his) YouTube page, of particular note are the channel comments, read from the earliest through to the most recent for a glimpse into this sad little world he inhabits.
Admittedly the channel comments look a little odd. That is because the comment I was replying to has been deleted (the account was deleted so the comments seem to have gone with it). Other than the fact that it now appears I am talking to myself, what did you find that was 'deranged'?
David's been getting steadily more unusual like someone who stopped taking some medication for just this reason, he didn't seem this way before but now... now we find he's as inept as Tumbly and is a bit of a stalker for a presenter on a very low-rate quiz channel.
As inept as Tumble Tower in what? If you are talking about mock making (which is what you should be talking about) then I don't believe I have seen a mock from Tumble Tower so he could be an expert Mock Maker for all I (or you) know.
I am not a stalker. My "relationship" to Charlotte 'Gane' Gane was one of presenter/viewer, nothing more. Just like, let's say, you and Peter Sissons or Aled Jones and Jesus. You are probably not aware of Avago since you incorrectly call it a 'quiz channel'. You should know that Avago stopped broadcasting in 2006 and apart from a brief stint on Bid TV, that was the last time I am aware of Miss Gane presenting on television. I enjoyed watching her on Avago and I was a fan of her work. Don't you have memories of old television programmes and presenters you used to enjoy?
I'm hoping any day now he will come out and say it was all a front, it'll make so much more sense than he does now.
I'd like to quote from an independent review if I may:
"He's subverting the forum. He's being a post-TumbleTower pseudo-member. He has a series of running jokes, some knowing, sharp, sometimes ultra-satirical humour, which sometimes it misses the mark if he's trying too hard or attempting to fashion humour round weak material.
Some people won't get this of course."
"It's not a joke, nor is it serious. It's a whole lot more subtle than that. And it's seemingly lost on you, Phil and others, so try not to make sense of it, lest your head explode."
It sounds like the King is naked to me, but I've put those written references on my CV and if it helps me on my journey to becoming BBC Director General one day then so be it.
