ABC1 Signpost

Since 4 channels exist on the ABC Network, I thought of a clock and signpost merged together, along with a " live " audio.

I was shocked when I checked out a vid from YouTube of the ABN ("ABC New South Wales") closing down with the National Anthem, a clock, and live overhead, much like the BBC. But TV licensing was passed out, along with the clock, live overhead, etc. Now we pay though tax, and the ABC is stretched to the budgeting limits.

Too simplistic, also don't like the Roman numeral clock.

It's not bad, but I agree it's a bit too simple, needs a bit more style to it. Maybe include the actual logos for the ABC channels? (eg: http://tvforkids.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/abc3_logo.png )

This here I what is should look like, but I don't have the music, and the ballon bubbles are hard to get!

For music, try downloading the music used in the continuity break you embeded from YouTube, and convert to an mp3. (There's loads of free converters.) For the background, maybe try adjusting pattern of the gradient, its more radial than linear. Also I notice there's white areas that add a bit of depth to it, so maybe use the gaussian blur effect on a white solid(s). If you're using After Effects try make the background at 3D layer and add some light to it (tweak the strength etc..) Finally when it comes to the font, add some variety with the weights, (Bold, Thin etc...), and tweak the kerning.
