Tonight just before the ITV News at Ten on Granada we had a sequence I could only explain as 'coming up' before the ads before N@10. It featured a still with glassy hearts covering it (not the blue) and the announcer said something about the news after the break.

Just found this link on the Yorkshire tv site to Ballistixx.com the company whos designed yorkshires current logo. Also on the site is an unusual Granada logo.

How did ITV regions cope during this Granada strike

They were, though whether they were paying attention all the time, to all regions enough to catch a failure 'manually' within 30 secs I don't know ? Remember the ROCs monitored several ITV regions...

Granada is ditching its Granada Tonight programme, reverting to the title Granada Reports. Reports was last used as its title in 1989. The New Year saw the all-new Granada Tonight start.
