BBC News 24 and BBC World to possibly fully merge.

Hi people. Some insider news for you now. The BBC are thinking of merging BBC News 24 and BBC World. A new name has not yet been thought up. The new channel, watever its name will broadcast news 24 hours a day around the clock on anolgue.

I don't understand why BBC World News is shown in 14:9, virtually evertthing else is in 4:3 except stuff coming out of the newsroom. and when did BBC World News go 14:9?

How bout this as the News on the hour 1) 60 second countdown 2) about 10 seconds into the countdown the headline vamp starts and the headlines are shown, and an introduction of the presenter.

No titles on BBC World

Apologies if this has been mentioned already -- but having just watched the countdown at 1000 GMT, I was surprised to see that the news following it didn't have any titles -- just the headline bed and then the presenter saying welcome.

I noticed today when I was watching BBC World News some strange monitors in the newsroom. The were doing an iterview with Anita McNaught. When the interviewee was on camera, the wall screens in the wall of the newsroom on the right of the studio had strange images on them.

I've noticed that the 9.40 summary is going out with BBC World titles, the headlines bed is now played and the BBC World ending credits, with the website at the bottom! Is this going to be permenent?

Well that says it all. BBC World are advertsing the Three Hours of enchanced news in the morning here as a morning program around the world. Yes this is fine in europe, and I suppose 3 hours of absolutly brilliant news presentation is good but they really should do 3 or more World Todays every day.
