Forum closing, wanted to finally get this out of the way
The Sky typefaces used for the logos etc was designed by MIles Newlyn. I did do a font containing the logos back in the day.

That was a great bit of music, IMO. Sky Australia seemed to use some variations on the theme music that weren't used on our Sky News, as you can hear in the videos below:
