A quick 'non television' request... however it's still in the realms of media so it's not too far off topic. Razz

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the real version of You've Got A Friend In Me [Instrumental] from Toy Story 1?

Not the jazzy sequel version, and not any of the karaoke versions that creep out from time to time which sound nothing like the original... the actual Randy Newman version that never seemed [as far as I'm aware] to get an actual soundtrack release.

If someone can help it'd be appreciated thanks, t'is for a project.
Cheers. Very Happy

You've Got a Friend In Me (Instrumental)

You've Got a Friend In Me (Instrumental) 2

The second one has the original ending instead of the drum beats.

Thanks but that ain't the real version of it, that'll be off a karaoke disc or something similar I'm afraid.

If you listen 16 seconds [and throughout in the background] into the Toy Story 3 trailer below you'll hear the difference:

There's a lot more depth to the real version, whereas the copies are just the piano with a bit of trumpet thrown in usually.

But thanks for trying anyways. Smile

What's with the hiss and the squeaks/effects and the piano and the "oooh's" it's missing warmth and depth Confused

Yeah that isn't the original... sounds homemade or off a karaoke disc I'm afraid.

Compare it to the version in the YouTube vid I posted above, and you'll see what I mean.
