Yeah it's not just the speed, there's extra percussion, or an additional bed... little things to make them vary for each purpose.

The Youtube video in question states that it is the present titles, Series 3 Onwards (2006 - Present) so therefore, part of the theme is no longer in use. Hasn't the X Factor theme been the same since launch, it just may have originally been longer.

Oh for goodness sake. In series 1 and 2 The X Factor had a different titles sequence, this was the rather boring 'zooming X' titles. The theme used on the the aforementioned titles used the long version of the theme with the one extra 'verse'.
From the start of the live shows in series 3 they introduced a new title sequence that is still used today, this uses the shorter version of the theme that is also still used now.

Well, I fail to see what the issue is. The copyright owners (ITV and Syco) have never wanted stuff removed before.
