Folks, does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of a track called 'Purple and Green'?

Its an orchestral fanfare composed by British composer Tony Cox and was used for the 'coming up' sequences on the BBC's Wimbledon coverage between 1996 and 2002. It is also still used as the theme tune on Radio Wimbledon during the tournament each year.

A small snippet of the track can be heard at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Wimbledon

I've searched high and low for this track and cannot find it anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Very Happy

Just by coincidence, in the past 24 hours a little snippet of the track has been uploaded to YouTube!

Hi Chie.

We are very sorry but the Tony Cox CD you ordered has sold out. We had 3 orders for it on the same day so had to do it on a first come first served basis. We will cancel your order.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

All the best...Vinyl Tap.

I wonder if anyone on these forums was the one to pick it up?

Well it wasn't me, but there is a silver lining to this cloud, the fact that it was issued as a commercially available CD must mean there are more copies out there somewhere.
So, as Shaw Taylor used to say, Keep 'Em Peeled!
