Whilst watching 'it'll be alright on the night' there was a clip of what looked like a London based broadcast of a breakfast show of some kind. They were located on a street corner in the winter (I don't know why) with a desk, and had a 'shine' logo in the bottom left.
What is this channel or programme, is it another form of a London local channel?
Just got to wade through the adverts on ITVPlayer. Be back in two hours.
EDIT 2 : By a process of elimination, I would have to hazard a guess at it being the London / SarfEast version of cable's least successful story, The Weather Channel.

I see the 0161 phone code on the billboard behind them, might be a ChannelM programme?
Must respectfully disagree because....
1) The dialogue of the clip talked about going up Oxford Street and also discussed a tube strike, which leads me to believe a) it's London and b) that 0161 is a fuzzy 0181 or a national company (Lloyds?) that used 0161 as a national number
2) Channel M isn't credited in the credits of that ep of It'll Be Alright on the Night
3) They're not speaking in northern accents
4) "Shine" isn't listed as a Channel M programme on their Wikipedia page
I'd guess
a)Student TV
If it was for an assignment, it wouldn't even need to be accurate... ie. Manchester phone number (for either Mono Consultants, or a company called Spiv) on the advert, whilst talking about the tube.
or at a push
b)Christian TV
Well after watching it freely for a couple of days to try and get the clues (including looking at the credits) ITV Player now want me to register to watch it again, so I'm not wading through all those ads again.
I do wonder if a Christan TV channel would be advocating consumerism....
