I am putting together a video as part of a greater project, and wondered if anyone would be able to help me out with a small part of it. I'd like it to open with one of those 'earth zooms', seen on many programmes - including Doctor Who. I could just use Google Earth but I'd like it to looker a lot slicker and... well, less like I've just screen captured Google Earth.
I have found the following video tutorial on exactly how this can be done in After Effects: http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/earth_zoom/. However, I unfortunately have neither After Effects or the time to be able to do it justice. I could do possibly it in Blender - but again, this would take me a long time as I don't have much knowledge of Blender and would be too busy to build up such skills.
Therefore, what I'm asking/hoping for is that somebody with decent talent in some appropriate software would be able to do this for me. I should make clear now that I am unable to provide any cash reward for this - I am sorry for that. However, I would be extremely grateful. If it helps, you would not need to zoom down to street level - just the South coast more generally - and you would have a couple of months to do this in.
I apologise if this seems cheeky, but I know that there are some very talented people on here and it would make the video I am creating look fantastic. If you are at all interested and would like further information, please PM me - we can discuss specifically what I'd like!
