University Challenge

Does anyone have the more popular version of the University Challenege theme tune, used before the current play on the theme please?

I don't think we've ever found the original version, have we?

Well I did try searching the forum first which of course brought me no luck... but I wondered if there'd be anyone who'd managed in the mean time etc. But any version that's clean would do I guess, just the more popular/known one was before the current orchestrated version.

That's the version I'd prefer to get hold of, but any others would still be ok seeing I don't have any clean copies at all

And yup, the official name is "College Boy" by Derek New. The modern version that's more instrumental is by The Balanescu Quartet.

Not that I'm aware of, but if anyone can prove otherwise then I'd love to be wrong
