It's worth a shot but does anyone have a high quality image of the Spatz neon sign that was seen in the windows of the programme? I've tried tidying up some images of it from You Tube but the results i've had in the project i'm doing this for haven't been good enough.

Hope someone can help!

That's what I'm looking for but with a black background. For now I've managed to screen shot one from one of the episodes on YouTube.

Thats my attempt - with a bit of photoshop you could add a black background. There are clean Spatz logos in the show - on the signage inside the restaurant. Maybe some of these have survived, or its on old paperwork thrown away by Thames....

All the material I've seen for Spatz uses an different logo from the one presented on the neon sign in the programme.

There are these, you can see a logo bottom right but it doesn't look anything like the neon sign:

In fact the logo used on the above promo you can see here as the name badge in colour, its:

I wonder if the neon sign is still floating around somewhere? I wonder if Lee Pressman & Grant Cathro (the creators) managed to salvage them after the final taping?

Thanks for the images so far. I'll see what I can come up with.

Not a bad idea if you can get in contact with them, it's clearly a unique prop. He who runs the Tea Room @ t-room.co.uk (as Pressman and Cathro also did T-Bag) has had some contact with them. Might be worth dropping him a line, nothing ventured, etc.

I did as you mentioned and heard back from Lee Pressman himself this morning! He says that the Spatz neon sign was a genuine neon sign but unfortunately he doesn't know what became of it.

I also showed him a working progress of a 3D re-creation of the Spatz set that i'm working on (hence the enquiry about the neon sign) and he loved what I've done so far.

I did the same when i recreated the Ministry of Mayhem set and sent a few screen grabs off to the set designer recently, again he was impressed with the attention to detail.

Cool, glad I could help Smile Look forward to seeing your re-creation, if you're up for sharing it when it's ready.

I suspect the actual neon sign itself is long gone, unless Cathro or other cast/production members have further leads on it. I fear it probably went in the skip after the end of the franchise Sad

Have taken a screenshot and tried to remaster it as much as I can (including adding the point to the bottom of the triangle which is cut off in the opening titles):

That looks like what i'm after! Looks good in the 3D model too. I'll be posting the finished stuff in the gallery when it's done.

Thank's Whataday!
