Does anyone know where Southern Television used to broadcast in Southampton before they moved to Northam in the early sixties?

Before Southern Television moved to the Northam studio complex, currently the base of Meridian, they used the Plaza cinema, also in Northam.

The Plaza had operated as an Odeon cinema until November 1957, when it was closed for conversion into television studios, as the parent companies of both operations were the same.

The current Northam studios were constructed around the Plaza, which was eventually demolished in the late 60s.

This Plaza is not to be confused with the Gillingham Plaza, which became the TVS Television Theatre in 1982.
