Hi all,

Quick Question.

In Sky's channel logos they have a divider in the middle - how is that effect obtained?

Thanks

What do you mean by divider? The space between "Sky" and the boxed channel name? It's just a space...

Or do you mean the horizontal line across the "comedy" portion of that logo?
I wouldn't say that's a "divider" as such in the traditional sense of the word (as in "room divider", which are by their nature vertical), that's just where the two tones of colour change over. I think this is what you're referring to.

You may want to clarify.

I’m talking about the horizontal line.

The "reflection" line? - that's just a semi-transparent overlay. In that example it has a bit of a gradient, and slightly curved corners where it meets the edges of the lower shapes, in order to give it a more 3D look, but it will work fine without.
