Hi,

I remember 3 or 4 years ago, David Lowe was featured on a BBC Radio show discussing the creation of his 1999 BBC News package. It included a clip of Lowe's original proposal, which the BBC rejected because it was too upbeat. I was wondering if anybody still has that interview or audio of the original proposal.

Thanks!

More "dated" then upbeat I'd say though (if this is the right clip)!

I like the original pitch, it could have been used for something else though.

Odd that David played out the unused version of the Scotland music.

I actually have to agree with Janice Long and say that Wales Today does have the best regional 'Nations' music...

Me too, but I have to disagree with the way she sang it.

But was that not the original pitch for Rep Scot back in 2008?

Thanks for this clip, was interesting to hear how they came to compose the BBC news music.
